Big Book Club is this Thursday 23rd October.
This month we will be discussing The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton
We will be meeting as usual at The Curzon Cinema, 16 George St, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2PF.
We'll meet in the upstairs bar area at around 7:45pm ready to sit down to discuss the book at 8pm.
Get a drink at the downstairs bar 🥂 ☕️ 🍺 and bring it up where we’ll allocate groups.
We aim to sit in groups of about 8, and depending on numbers we may start an additional group downstairs 😊. We're usually wrapping up around 9.15pm.
CHRISTMAS BOOK CLUB 🎄🎄🎄📕📕📕
December book club is more social, informal and with a book suggestion as more of a conversation starter. There will be question ideas on the tables and opportunities to write your scores!
This year due to availability we’ll be doing this on the first Thursday of December
Thursday 4th December
7.30-9pm
Sheffield Plate, 31-33 Orchard Square, S1 2FB
We’ve reserved tables in the main space at 7.30pm
There’s a bar and various food outlets. Food service is until 8.30pm and they close at 9.
It’s a noisier environment than normal book club but hopefully lots of fun and many chances to chat.
After this we can always find a bar to move to for those who want to keep the festive spirit going (maybe The Old Shoe in Orchard Square) 🥂
